Mounting the Beast:
A misdemeanor in Arkansas

First thing we've decided to use a SG body exclusive for the Aero Ektar.
We've bought one through Ebay, after arrival the Camera was totally restored by Jo. Especially the focal plane shutter was taken apart and cleaned, adjusted for exact shutter times as this will be extremely important using the Aero.
Another point of interest was to couple the Kalart or not...we decided to couple the RF. A perfect adjusted RF will enable us to focus on the fly..so to speak.
As seen the camera is ready to receive the Aero allright.

The plan:

Studying several mounting options on the Internet, we were very happy to get in touch with David Burnett who was so kind to make pictures of his own Aero.
About the results there was no need to inquire as there are myriad examples of this combination on the net.
Below the images with David's personal hints.

This combination also known as the "Burnett combo" will survive in this rapid changing world of digital images. Actually nothing changed much in photography since the birth of the legendary Speed Graphic except the ease and portability of the cameras. Nowadays anybody not bothered by any technical knowledge or photographic skills whatsoever, can make a picture not neccessarily an image though..and they do...

The only thing achieved today is an ever growing amount of crap....
