Actually not something special but a common lens on many Graphics. Another common one is the Optar 135mm f4.7
Both have also the graflex solenoid coupled to the shutter.
If you want to change lenses it is important to know the hole needed for a certain shutter, here they are:

Dimensions of the hole needed for different diameter of shutter/lenses.
Lensboard dimensions for Speed Graphic Pacemaker : 93x94 mm or 3 23/32 x 3 21/32 In

  • #0 Copal shutter with diameter 35mm
  • #1 Copal shutter with diameter 42mm
  • #3 Copal shutter with diameter 65.5mm

If you find interesting lenses in shutter, use one of these tools to tighten or loosen the retainer ring.
On the left: spanner wrench by Steve Grimes, on the right 4in1 by Linos (former Rodenstock).
An all metal wrench to mount all current shutter sizes (0, 1, 3) from Copal, Compur and Prontor to flat boards. Slots or pins fit into lens mounting flange grooves for effortless mounting or dismounting of shutters from lens boards. Unlike spanner wrenches, will not loosen in the middle of turning

Shutter test

Another trick I've learned from Jo:
It might be interesting to test your shutter times when you're in doubt, especially with chromes.
What you need:

  • A photocell connected to the Microphone connection of your PC or Laptop
  • A strong light aimed to the top of the lens.
  • A sound editing program, we use Cooledit 2000 but there are more...

THe Tools:

I did mount the photocell in a nice tripod mount plate.
It can be anything as long it is flat with a hole and can support your lenses!

Procedure:

Put the lens above the photocell, aim the light, cock the shutter and start the program.
Select New, push the record button and trip the shutter.
As an example we used 1 second, afterwards stop the recording
A graph will appear on your screen as shown.
Highlight the two peaks and read the elapsed time.
In our example it turned out the real time of the shutter was a little faster than 1 second.(Bottom right corner) i.e 0,877
